True, but don't need the Analyzer to tell you 5GHz is best option.

With the catch, 5GHz only provides ~ 50% distance of 2.4GHz.

In a condo/apartment environment (where distance isn't much of an issue), first option should always be 5GHz -- these days, there are simply too many devices (and too much interference) on 2.4GHz.

The #1 problem with WiFi? People have unrealistic expectations. They expect hard-line performance & reliability from WiFi. In many cases, they don't even know the difference (because it's all the Internet, right?).

Couple years ago, had a roommate who constantly whined about the WiFi (remember, we're in a high-density condo neighborhood). He'd tell me about his previous place, where he didn't have any WiFi problems -- and then I'd remind him his previous place didn't have any neighbors within 100 yards. Then he'd say "I know, I understand...but, but, the WiFi......."

Then I'd say "No, you clearly don't understand. Because you complain about the WiFi every 3-4 weeks, even though I've shown you the 25-30 competing networks in our neighborhood."

I think he just liked to complain about something, anything -- something to give him a purpose, a crisis. Also, he was dumb. He'd complain about the WiFi (and claim it was an emergency) -- but his desk was 2-feet from the wall, and he couldn't be bothered to plug his computer directly to wall.

So how much of an "emergency" was it?
